Dìwö Collective

Dìwö is a network of artists supporting eachother to create in public space. The collective embodies radical socio-political imaginaries, aiming towards a critical investigation of divisions between global and cultural institutions, political activity, and the stark reality of fracturing societal structures and terrains. We create disruptive and elevatory guerilla [gorilla] art in global spaces, by challenging and highlighting the incendiary atmosphere that we inhabit. Our function is to intrude and re-construct the public sphere, where the mechanisms of demolition and terminality are more clearly lucid and explicit. To embody and challenge the idea and ownership of space, the territory in which we move, and re-purpose the symbols and attitudes that endure in the world are ways in which we can cannibalize systems that are proliferating and diluting our sense of reality and ourselves. Through a creative assertion of spatial agency, we aim to articulate a new sensory language of self and meaning that propagates a new capital of heart.
